Warehouse Pest Control Case Studies
Here are a few real jobs from Resolute Pest Management’s work with warehouses in metro Atlanta. Client names are kept confidential.
Case Study A: Eliminating Rodents at a Bulk Produce Importer’s Warehouse
Facility: A bulk produce importer that brings in large pallets of produce from overseas and distributes them to restaurants and retailers. The facility was subject to a Department of Agriculture audit.
The challenge
The importer had a rodent infestation in a facility holding open-air produce: pallets of tomatoes, avocados and other fresh product. With fresh product sitting open on pallets in a facility facing a Department of Agriculture audit, the infestation was a serious problem for the operation.
What we did
- Sealed entry points so rodents couldn’t keep getting into the building.
- Added exterior bait stations to cut down rodent pressure around the outside of the facility.
- Worked with the customer to raise product off the floor, which removed hiding spots and made activity easier to spot.
- Set up motion-activated cameras to find the exact pathways the rodents were using, so control could be placed where it would actually work.
The result
All of the rodents were caught. We combined exclusion, exterior control, practical changes inside the facility and camera monitoring. Together, those cleared the rodents out of a facility handling open-air produce and facing a Department of Agriculture audit.
Case Study B: Same-Day, Humane Bird Removal from a Warehouse
The challenge
Birds had gotten inside a customer’s warehouse. The customer needed them out quickly, without harming the birds and without damaging product.
What we did
- Responded the same day. We were on site within a couple of hours of the call.
- We opened the bay doors and used low-intensity lasers to safely guide the birds out, with no harm to the birds and no disruption to operations.
The result
All of the birds were removed and flew out on their own. No birds were harmed and no product was damaged.
Case Study C: Commodity Fumigation for an Ant-Infested Trailer on a Drop Lot
The challenge
A trailer sitting on a drop lot had ants in it. The product inside needed to be cleared of the infestation before it could go to the customer.
What we did
- Were on site within 2 hours of the call.
- Sealed the trailer.
- Put the trailer under commodity fumigation to treat the product and the load.
The result
All of the ants were eliminated, and the product was safe to ship to the customer in 3 days.
Case Study D: Rat Snake Removal from an Active Warehouse

The challenge
During night shift, a rat snake made its way into a metro Atlanta warehouse. The outbound team noticed it on the floor behind them and called us.
What we did
- Safely captured and physically removed the snake from the facility, with no chemicals and minimal disruption to the shift.
- Located and sealed the openings the snake used to get inside, so wildlife can’t use the same route again.
The result
The snake was removed humanely, the entry points were sealed and the team got back to work. Resolute Pest Management is licensed by the Georgia DNR for wildlife removal.
Case Study E: Humane Bat Exclusion from a Warehouse

The challenge
Bats found their way into a metro Atlanta warehouse and began roosting inside.
What we did
- Installed one-way exclusion doors so the bats could leave on their own but couldn’t get back in.
- Sealed the remaining entry points to keep bats and other wildlife out for good.
The result
The bats left the building unharmed, the warehouse was sealed and the problem didn’t come back. Resolute Pest Management is licensed by the Georgia DNR for wildlife removal.
